For large equipment 3D model, a technology for automatic generation of 3D objects for cut fragments has been developed by placing virtual cutting planes on the equpment model with sizes of wastes which can be stored into waste containers. With the help of the method and existing platform based on the developed plugin software on 3D CAD systems, efficient estimation of required number of containers for cut fragments of equipment was confirmed.
