[2E10] Study on Eutectic Melting Behavior of Control Rod Materials in Core Disruptive Accidents of Sodium-Cooled Fast Reactors
(7) Density and Surface Tension of 10mass%B4C-SS Eutectic Molten Materials
Keywords:sodium-cooled fast reactors, boron carbide, stainless steel, density, surface tension
This is a basic study for building a thermophysical model to simulate the eutectic melting behavior of control rod materials (B4C and stainless steel) in core disruptive accidents of sodium-cooled fast reactors. The density and surface tension of the 10mass%B4C-SS melt have been measured with the ultra-high-temperature thermophysical property measurement system (PROSPECT), and will be reported in the conference. In addition, the emissivity, heat capacity and thermal conductivity of the melt will be also reported in the following series presentation (8).
