[2F18] Application of Sorption Model to Uranium Sorption onto Montmorillonite in the Presence of Carbonate

We calculated sorption parameters using experimental data-sets of U(VI) sorption onto montmorillonite from JAEA-SDB. The parameters successfully reproduced data-set varying carbonate concentrations and the presence of ternary surface-U(VI)-carbonate complexes was implied. The results indicate that sorption model can evaluate and predict effects of the presence of carbonate on U(VI) sorption.
