The Short-Term Emergency Assessment system of Marine Environmental Radioactivity (STEAMER) is being developed at JAEA. The system was validated by oceanic dispersion simulations with forecast and reanalysis ocean current data. Forecast accuracies of radionuclide concentration were quantitatively demonstrated.
