A preliminary measurement was performed for the power operating reactor noise measurement at the Kyoto University Reactor (KUR). The measurement was performed on STOP state and some critical state. The measurement was carried out by the Rossi α method using a fission counting tube (FC) of KUR. As a result, the prompt neutron attenuation curve was obtained only when the FC was located nearest to the reactor core.
