Keywords:Three-dimensional heterogeneous transport calculation, Planar method of characteristics (MOC), Axial MOC, GALAXY

MHI has been developing the three-dimensional heterogeneous transport calculation code GALAXY-Z. GALAXY-Z uses planar MOC as neutron solver. In the radial direction, the two-dimensional MOC code GALAXY is used. In the axial direction, one-dimensional MOC is applied for accurate treatment of heterogeneity caused by control rod insertion and void production in moderator.
