(3) Concept of Much Shock wave target In−Flight Muon Catalysis Fusion

Kino showed theoretically that the reaction cross section of nuclear fusion of muon fusion reaches 2000 barns targeting to 1.4 keV deuterium· tritium ions, beside, magnetic fusion they are 6 barns at 10~100keV. Muon-plasma nuclear fusion starts by holding a gas target with a density of 1021cm-3, injecting negative muon and making plasma by laser at the same time. The generated alpha rays excite the necessary ions in target. The Laval nozzle is applied to hold the gas target by oblique shocks and Mach wave in the supersonic zone. As the nuclear fusion reaction is held not by electromagnetic force but by this aerodynamic force, neither complicated magnetic field coils nor vacuum vessels nor cryogenic system are required. It replaces the hydrocarbon combustion energy in the well-known ramjet engine to nuclear fusion energy. If this concept is demonstrated, it may open up the fourth field of nuclear fusion research next to magnetic fusion, inertial fusion, cold muon fusion.
