We are developing a novel analytical method combining resonance absorption using laser diode and laser ablation technique in order to remotely and rapidly measure the isotopic composition of various substances generated in the decommissioning process of a severe accident reactor. In this study, absorption signals were measured under various experimental conditions for simulated materials of nuclear fuel materials such as uranium and plutonium, and temporal variation characteristics of the ablation plume and variation on absorption spectrum were observed. Based on these results, we investigated the optimal measurement conditions and the measurement configuration which narrows the spectral linewidth and increases the isotopic selectivity.
