Co deposition suppressing effect by Ni was confirmed in noble metal chemical addition condition, so we thought that this effect could be obtained by coating Ni and Pt to the surface of carbon steel. Co-60 deposition test for the carbon steel specimens with Ni and Pt coating were conducted under noble metal chemical addition condition.
