In order to remove Mo and Zr prior to MA separation, adoption of HDEHP/SiO2-P adsorbent was examined in the extraction chromatography operation. It will be desirable to use the porous silica carrier with large particle and pore diameter to avoid increasing pressure loss due to swelling of the adsorbent medium. In this study, vitrification property and chemical durability were evaluated for the silica based adsorbent containing polimer, extractant and waste simulant such as Mo and Zr. As the results, not inferior durable properties were obtained compared with conventional vitrified waste however the glass sample had many cruck and heterogeneous elements composition.
