Future challenges of environmental researches from several different viewpoints will be introduced on the basis of experiences in large-scale investigations continuously performed since the Fukushima accident. The following issues will be discussed: desired direction of detailed research on the temporal change in radiation levels, important subjects on exposure dose evaluation, and application of obtained knowledge to emergency planning.
