Basic properties of CaF2 having a fluorite structure were evaluated at temperatures up to melting temperature by experimental approach. Especially, high temperature heat capacity was focussed, and effects of frenkel defect formation and Bredic transition were evaluated. The resulted data contributed to evaluation by computational science as validation data.
