The research for nuclear transmutation to reduce long-life nuclear wastes has been performed by effectively using small fast reactors. In previous presentation, the material balance of long-life nuclides existing in nuclear fuel cycle was evaluated for the case of continuing only LWRs operation. In this presentation, the material balance in nuclear fuel cycle is shown for the case of introducing nuclear transmutation type small fast reactors. The amount of Americium(Am) in nuclear fuel cycle for this case is compared with that for only LWRs oparation and the effect of reduction of Am in the case of small fast reactors introduction is exhibited.
