The Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accident report has been published from various perspectives by the accident investigation committees of the government, the Diet, the private sector, TEPCO and others. However, there are still many unclear points, and there are many matters that differ in judgment among various accident investigation reports. Especially regarding the tsunami, it greatly exceeded the assumption and caused severe accidents. This paper presents an overview of "Tsunami Countermeasures in Japan's Nuclear Power Plants - Issues obtained from the tsunami response before the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant accidents -" published by the Science Council of Japan this May.
