Keywords:High level radioactive waste, The nationwide map of scientific features for geological disposal, Risk communication

Nationwide Map of Scientific Features for Geological Disposal (NMSF) that is an image data format should be reproduced as a digitalize shapefile to improve its availability. Politically, the government doesn't want to get the attention of nations on NMSF related to the high-level radioactive waste that derives from nuclear power plants, even though social discussion about this issue is needed. The government doesn't provide a digital file of NMSF but also avoids to consider the controversial social conditions (e.g., the population density of the potential site area) in it. The purpose of this paper is to stimulate the socially active research about site selection of geological disposal facilities by researchers instead of the government via providing NMSF as digital data.
