[1M07] Elemental analysis of nuclear reactor structural materials using ion beam

The TCU is decommissioning research reactors. In decommissioning, it is necessary to manage and dispose of dismantling waste safely and rationally. For that purpose, it is necessary to measure the distribution of radioactive materials attached to the reactor structural material. At this university, an electrostatic accelerator was installed and elemental analysis in concrete was performed by PIXE analysis. The effectiveness and issues as elemental analysis in decommissioning will be examined with the aim of making use of it for the evaluation of the amount of radioactive materials by clarifying the abundance ratio of main elements and trace elements.
