Neutron resonance densitometry with a self-indication method is currently under research to quantify nuclear material in the debris of melted fuel. We performed TOF experiments using U-235 as a self-indicator at the 46-MeV electron linear accelerator in Institute for Integral Radiation and Nuclear Science, Kyoto University (KURNS-LINAC). We observed the correlation between the counting rate and the areal density of target nuclide. Moreover, numerical calculations were also performed by Monte-Carlo simulation code under various situations. Finally, we report the possibility of non-destructive assay using a compact stationary neutron source.
