[2C07] Effects of neutron-activation characteristics of reactor components on waste categorization
Keywords:activation calculation, decommissioning, dismantling waste, radioactivity concentration, sensitivity analysis
Neutron transport and activation calculations were carried out in a pressure vessel of 1100 MW BWR and bio-screened concrete. Phits and D-Chain were used as calculation codes. Focusing on the concentration of impurities that become parent nuclides of radionuclides and variations in the elemental composition of concrete aggregate, we conducted sensitivity analysis for spatial distribution of neutron flux, energy spectrum, and activated radioactivity concentration. Based on the calculation of activation activity, the influence of the composition of the structure was examined from the viewpoint of the level division of waste generated at the time of reactor dismantling.
