A direct measurement method of boron-neutron capture reaction is required for establishing the medical neutron source, evaluating the neutron moderation in human body, and monitoring the therapy processes. In this study, a single crystal CVD diamond detector was used to measure the energetic ions generated in the boron-neutron capture reaction directly.
