One of the measures for tornado missile in nuclear facilities is the installation of a protective net. The protective net for tornado missile using aramid fibers was developed. In this study, the plan and approach of the development were investigated. In addition, the development policy concerning optimization of the net shape, net rope thickness and pitch was investigated based on the characteristics of the aramid fiber net rope obtained by the element experiment.
