For the purpose of removing fuel debris from the Fukushima-Daiichi Nuclear Power Plants safely and smoothly, a criticality prevention technology using insoluble neutron absorbers is being developed. In this presentation, the result of simulated debris fracturing by using chisels under the condition that solid insoluble neutron absorber was dispersed as one of the element tests is reported. From this test, it was confirmed that the dispersion of the absorber did not affect the workability of the chisel processing and the absorber was trapped in the formed void.
