Keywords:tritium, The natural soil

Understanding the behavior of tritium transfer in soil is an important issue for the realization of fusion reactors. In the study, we dipped natural soil in tritium water and observed the behavior of tritium release from the soil. Up to now, we heated the natural soil that the tritium was trapped to 1000℃ and recovered. In this experiment, we dissolved the soil sample after heating in acid, and observed the presence or absence of residual tritium. As a result, we discovered that a certain amount of tritium remained in the soil sample after heating.
