Granulation of powder in ceramics, etc. is widely required on an industrial scale and is socially in high demand.Production of tritium breeding solid-ceramics sphere loaded in the fusion reactor TBM take steps usually powders adjustment, granulation, and sintering. In general, the granulation process involves complicated operations such as optimization of a plurality of additives for adjusting aggregation, adhesion, flow, dispersion, etc. among particles. This study enables granulation utilizing the charge characteristics that act between particles of powder.
This method is useful for ceramics powder which has high reactivity and solubility in water and organic solvents because it is a completely dry method which does not require any additive, and realizes spherical formation with excellent efficiency and mass productivity.
