This report describes the applicability of the CFD code “OpenFOAM” on estimating of an amount of overflow water from rectangular tank subjected to a long period earthquake motion. Based on the comparison between the computed and tests results, the computer code could simulate the observed overflow phenomena of the tank liquid with sufficient accuracy.
