The objective of the research is to clarify the design parameters of PAR for long-term-storage containers of radioactive-waste by hydrogen-oxygen-recombination experiments. The effects of the geometry (cell-density, thickness) of the monolithic intelligent automotive catalyst and chimney on the hydrogen throughput and the natural convection were measured by using the REKO-4 reactor (5.3 m3) in JÜLICH.
