欧州原子核研究機構 (CERN) の高エネルギー加速器混合粒子場 (CHARM) 施設において、24 GeV/c 陽子をターゲットに照射し生成された中性子が鉄の遮蔽体を透過した後のエネルギースペクトルを測定した。鉄の厚さが100, 120 cmの測定を行い、これらの結果から減弱係数を導出した。
