We studied the radiation-induced coloration characters of some gel dosimeters. Incident 200 MeV/u 12^C^6+ ions were irradiated onto the color gel dosimeter, polymer-gel dosimeter and polyvinyl alcohol-KI (PVA-KI) gel dosimeter. The distributions of radiation-induced coloration in gel dosimeters were observed. The observed coloration distributions gave good agreement with the distributions that had been obtained by the theoretical calculation.
