[2G05] Effect of MRI magnetic field on secondary particle trajectory and dose distribution from carbon ion beam evaluated by PHITS

This study clarifies behavior and influence on dose distribution of carbon ion beam by magnetic field to realize real-time MRI-guided heavy ion therapy. We performed Monte-Carlo simulation that carbon ion beam is irradiated to water phantom in magnetic field, and evaluated the each influence on dose distribution by delta-ray and secondary particles.
