In order to perform nuclear transmutation of long-lived fission products using a high intensity deuteron beam stably, safely and efficiently, conceptual design of an accelerator system, consisting of multiple moderate-scale and compact cyclotrons, will be presented. Development of high-power low-cost cyclotrons and configuration of the high-power low-cost cyclotron-based transmutation system will be also discussed.
