[2H14] Beta-particle fields above 1 MeV for calibrating the dosimeters in eye lens dosimetry

The dosimetry in the term of dose equivalent, H(3), is recommended for evaluation of the equivalent dose in the lens of eye. However, only one type of irradiation field is avairable which can be used in the calibration and test in H(3), because the other fields have too low energy to reach the depth of 3mm. In this study, beta irradiation fields of 1 MeV or more were established by a method using Sr-90 beta source and filters of PMMA. The absorbed dose rate has been measured with an extrapolation chamber. Calibration constants of ion chambers with different volumes have been also measured.
