MPS method (one of the particle methods) is being developed for mechanistic modeling of ex-vessel corium behavior (spreading and MCCI) by combining with scale-effect test and the basic UO2 fuel property experiment. The program overview and progress on spreading analysis by MPS method, including analyses on VULCANO VE-U7 over different substrates (ceramic and concrete) will be reported.
