In a proposed framework for verification and validation plus uncertainty quantification (VVUQ) and prediction called V2UP, practical methodologies for the VVUQ has been investigated. Model uncertainty in the numerical simulation as fundamental validation for development of thermal fatigue estimation method was successfully quantified using the modified GCI (SLS-GCI) and the Area Validation Metrics methods.
