[2K13] Study on Local Failure of Circular Plate Specimens with Nozzle Simulating Reactor Pressure Vessels

*Yoshiki Tsunemoto1, Takashi Sakaguchi1, Shunji Kataoka2, Takuya Sato1, Naoto Kasahara1 (1. Department of Nuclear Engineering and Management, School of Engineering, The University of Tokyo, 2. JGC Corporation)

Keywords:ductile fracture, local failure, triaxial stress state, von Mises stress, hydrostatic stress state

Fracture tests and Finite Element Analyses of circular plate specimens with a nozzle were performed. As a result, the maximum load of the specimen was smaller with a thick nozzle than that of the specimen with a thin nozzle. The characteristics of local failure were made clear from this study.
