We conducted a molten vitrification test with an existing plasma melting furnace for a simulated specimen made by incineration ash near the properties derived from a light water reactor solidified with a binder. It was confirmed that the properties of solidified product depended strongly on the heating atmospheric gases (difference in oxidizing property or reducing property) and the presence or absence of impurities such as ferrous metal.
