In addition to the nuclear reactor, the decommissioning furnace requires processing including buildings such as pipes, cables, cradles, etc. in the building around the reactor. Concrete structures that are building blocks are also subject to treatment. It is huge amount of substance than nuclear reactor. In this post, we propose a method of collectively dismantling buildings, piping, cables and gantry in blocks. To explain roughly, this method first fills the space inside the building with a resin material such as a urethane foam material. Next, cut out every block with the building about 7 m square, then hoist the block with a large crane and load it on a large carrier. Third, move to the dismantling treatment facility where large carriers are installed beside the power plant. Fourth, the dismantling treatment facility is completely robotized and operates for 24 hours to maintain airtightness. The dismantled waste is subdivided according to the material and dose and stored in a storage container. The storage container is stored in an intermediate storage provided in the power plant.
