The Moth Flame Optimization method (MFO) is a recently proposed optimization method. In this study, MFO is improved to introduce Predator and Multi-Swarm. This Multi-Swarm MFO with Predator is applied to the in-core fuel loading pattern optimization problem for a PWR. The optimization performance such as objective function value obtained by MFO is compared with the conventional methods such as simulated annealing.
