[1A03] Measurement of ruthenium activity in Ru-Pd binary alloy

In order to improve the existing ruthenium (Ru) release model from fuel in a severe accident, Ru activity (aRu) of Ru-palladium (Pd) alloys was measured by a new experimental method using thermogravimetric analysis. The measured aRu agrees well with that obtained from the existing binary phase diagram. This result indicates that this thermogravimetric method can be applied for the measurement of aRu in the Ru-Pd binary alloy.
