[1E10] Study on analytical method of Sn-126 in accident waste collected from the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station
Keywords:Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, Sn-126, Anion exchange, Radiochemical analysis
In order to dispose of the waste generated at TEPCO’s Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, it is necessary to clarify the types and concentrations of radionuclides contained in rubble and contaminated water. As such, radioactivity data must be collected, and new analytical methods must be established for nuclides without establish analytical methods. Therefore, an analytical method of Sn-126 enough to apply during actual waste were developed. The accuracy of the developed analytical method was confirmed using rubble and contaminated water collected from inside reactor building.
The target detection limit was achieved, and Sn-126 was detected for the first time in accident waste, and a key to clarify the diffusion behavior of Sn during the accident was obtained.
