Although α-ray treatment has the merit of being able to irradiate the carcinomatous lesion with a pinpoint, the biological effects of α-rays at the cellular level have not yet been clarified in many cases. The purpose of this study is to analyze three-dimensionally the amount of DNA damage of individual cells with a glass capillary microbeam which can irradiate individual cells. This time, we conduct DNA damage visualization experiments on RPE cells with 4.5 MeV He2+ microbeam using a Peletron accelerator. Furthermore, we produce a plurality of samples by changing the time for fixing the cells after irradiation, and observe the repair protein distribution in a time-sharing manner. Based on this experiment, we examine the amount of DNA damage and the repair process for individual DNA damaged cells.
