Low-energy X-rays emitted from X-ray tubes with tube voltage set to 40-50 kV are widely used for nondestructive inspection and X-ray analysis. However, dose assessment is difficult when workers were exposed to such low-energy X-rays due to accidents. In this study, using the X-ray energy spectrum, the air kerma at each energy was calculated from the air kerma of the low energy X-ray emitted from X-ray tube measured by the gaffchromic dosimeter. By multiplying the conversion factor to them at each energy, 70 µm dose equivalent was calculated. We report this evaluation method.
