Keywords:In-Situ Visualization, In-Situ Steering, Fluid Simulation

Fluid simulation with adaptive mesh refinement (AMR) optimized for GPU supercomputers has been developed to realize atmospheric dispersion prediction of pollutants, and interactive visualization and parameter steering techniques are needed. For visualization of large-scale simulation, in-situ visualization that performs visualization simultaneously with computation while avoiding I/O bottlenecks becomes important, but interactive visualization is difficult because it is executed in batch processing. So far, we have developed a particle-based in-situ visualization method for CPU supercomputers, and interactive visualization is possible through an in-situ control mechanism via a file. This method will be ported to the CPU on the GPU supercomputer to develop an in-situ steering function for simulation parameters, and be applied to AMR fluid simulation to verify its effectiveness.
