We developed calculation system combining Moving Particle Semi-implicit (MPS) method and neutron transport calculation to evaluate criticality of the fuel debris in water so far. In this time, we applied the Discrete Element Method (DEM) to evaluate powder fuel debris. The purpose of this study was to clarify that it is possible to evaluate the criticality of the fuel debris by combining the MPS method, DEM and neutron transport calculation. First, we performed sedimentation experiments and then verified the accuracy of the DEM simulation. Next, we performed a criticality calculation of powder fuel debris and the time change of the effective multiplication factor at each time was able to be calculated by this calculation system.
