[1I05] Applicability of the Extended Kalman Filter Technique to Reactivity Monitoring at KUCA

(2)Introduction of Area Ratio to the Filter Technique

*Masao Yamanaka1, Cheol Ho Pyeon1 (1. KURNS)

Keywords:Extended Kalman Filter, Subcriticality monitoring, Pulsed neutron source method, Area ratio, KUCA

In previous study, the applicability of the extended Kalman filter has been examined for transient experimentss carried out by inserting control rods in a subcritical an injection of pulsed neutron source at the KUCA. In this study, the accuracy of the subcriticality monitor by the filter technique is investigated with the use of the area ratio in addition to the neutron count.
