ULOF, UTOP 等の事故時にも炉心損傷を回避できる固有安全高速炉概念を開発中である。GEMとNaプレナムを設置した軸方向非均質炉心を対象に、後備炉停止系制御棒の待機位置がNaプレナムのボイド反応度低減効果に与える影響を評価しボイド反応度(ULOF時)負と燃焼反応度1$以下の両立を達成した。
