[2B07] Effect of dehydration on Mechanical Properties of Metakaolin-based Geopolymer
キーワード:geopolymer, metakaolin, dehydration, temperature
As catalyst supports into the nuclear waste containers in Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Station, geopolymer is required to show high strength, low porosity, and durability. When geopolymer has a high water content, which leads a larger pore size, volume and a lower mechanical strength. It is necessary for geopolymer dehydration. In this study geopolymer samples were made of EFACO silica, potassium hydroxide, potassium silicate solution, and two types of metakaolin powders. Mechanical properties after dehydrations at different curing temperatures were analyzed. High temperature can make my samples dehydrate faster, but there are a lot of cracks on the my samples. Room temperature is the best condition for my sample.
