[2L09] Comparison of MHD pressure drop characteristics in a three-surface-multi-layered channel applied to Li/V and LiPb/RAFS blankets

We have investigated design of a three-surface-multi-layered channel for reduction of MHD pressure drop in self-cooled lithium blanket with vanadium alloy structure (Li/V blanket). In this presentation, we will report additional evaluation of MHD pressure drop in LiPb blanket with reduced-activation ferritic steel structure (LiPb/RAFS blanket) and discussion of feasibility of the channel in both blanket systems. In addition, we will report progress in fabrication of multi-layer with metal/insulator materials.
