Double-sided silicon strip detectors (DSSD) has been known as a high scattering efficiency, high energy resolution, and high sensitivity detector for detecting gamma ray. To improve the performance of the Compton camera, we evaluate the DSSD fabricated by Hamamatsu. The DSSD has geometry 45x45 mm and 900-micrometer pitch. The implanted strips on the p-side are perpendicular to those on the n-side to provide two-dimensional position information. The strip detector has 48 readout channels on each side and connected to 48 channel slew-rate limited time over-threshold ASIC circuit. By implementing the DSSD as a Scatter on the Compton camera, we hope it can increase the performance of the detector system.
