[2O03] Effect of collective enhancement in cross section calculation using statistical model

*Naoya Furutachi1 (1. RIST)

Keywords:nuclear level density, statistical model, nuclear data

The importance of the collective enhancement of the nuclear level density has been discussed for a long time. However, the level density parameter of the phenomenological model is often determined to reproduce the experimental data of the average resonance spacing, and therefore, a model without the collective enhancement does not cause serious problem in the cross section calculation for most cases. In this study, the effect of the explicit treatment of the collective enhancement on the cross section calculation is discussed through the systematic comparison with the experimental data.
