Prompt fission gamma-ray spectrum for thermal-neutron induced fission was measured up to high-energies of 20 MeV. This was achieved by significantly increasing the measurement sensitivity of five orders of magnitude. The experiment was carried out at the cold neutron beam line of the high flux reactor of Institute Laue-Langevin, Grenoble, France. We observed the local structures at 4 MeV, 6 MeV and 15 MeV. The statitical model calculation incorporating the fission process indicates that these gamma-rays are emitted from the specific fission fragments.
