[1A07] Evaluation of characteristic of natural circulation flow on isolation condenser in the presence of non-condensable gas

*Tetsuya Takada1, Yasunori Yamamoto1, Kosuke Ono1 (1. Hokkaido Univ.)

Keywords:Isolation condenser, Non-condensable gas, Natural circulation flow, High pressure steam

High pressure experiments simulating isolation condenser were conducted, where non-condensable gas, helium was injected into the experimental loop. Our results indicated that pressure under quasi-steady state at constant heat input increased with increasing injected helium, which was mainly caused by the increment of pressure loss at the downcomer.
